Shannon Wilcox | Counsellor, RCC

I believe that healthy relationships are a vital component for change and healing and I percieve the client-counsellor relationship as instrumental for creating conditions needed for clients to gain insight, and learn tools to further their self-development.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (R.C.C.) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (B.C.A.C.C.) and I have my Master of Arts (M.A.) in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoria. I have several years of experience working in the helping field in the roles of support worker and counsellor.
I primarily uses attachment, interpersonal, trauma-informed, and person-centered approaches and cognitive-behavioural, somatic, and mindfulness techniques. I aim to establish and maintain safety, trust, and a collaborative relationship with you so that you develop greater self-understanding and awareness, embrace new helpful perspectives and beliefs, and increase your coping skills and sense of empowerment for better living.
