Omar Bishir Registered Psychotherapist (Q)

Therapy is a collaborative space to explore challenges by considering the whole person, including emotional, relational, cognitive, and cultural dimensions. I aim to offer a warm, respectful, and non-judgmental environment where difficult experiences can be explored safely and at your own pace.
My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing primarily from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also work from relational, person-centred, existential, and humanistic perspectives. Therapy is tailored to each person’s needs, with attention to both present-day concerns and deeper attachment histories and relational patterns that may shape current experiences.
I work with individuals navigating relationship challenges, ADHD, identity and self-concept concerns, anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, and trauma-related experiences, including attachment-based and intergenerational trauma. I also support intercultural couples and bicultural individuals exploring their identities, sense of belonging, and relational dynamics across cultural contexts.
