Neelam Olk MC, RCC
I have worked with individuals and their families struggling with the overwhelming nature of addiction since the beginning of my career. I have personally seen many people process and overcome their addiction through a combination of maintaining hope and commitment, social support, and therapy.
Neelam holds the designation of a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. In addition to her practice, she has worked in outpatient mental health clinics with the Fraser Health Authority, substance use clinics, and substance use residential treatment facilities. Using a variety of evidence based treatment modalities and techniques, her approach is holistic and individualized to suit your needs. Research shows that a strong therapeutic alliance built upon respect and empowerment is imperative in relation to positive outcomes in counselling.
Using a strength based and trauma informed approach, she commits to creating a safe and comfortable space for individuals seeking support. Neelam currently specializes in depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, trauma, chronic pain, grief and loss, and couples counselling.
Counselling provides an opportunity for clients to discover their inherent strength and wisdom during times of stress. Through conversation and technique clients are able to gain insight and perspective into their situation and behavior. Neelam truly feels privileged to not only witness, but walk alongside the journey of so many individuals towards resiliency.
