Colleen McKay, Registered Psychotherapist
As a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist my goal is to help you gain insight to how your emotions influence your thought process. By helping you identify issues that are causing you conflict we then can work on formulating solutions. With this understanding we then can focus on changing maladaptive behaviours to more positive ones. The goal of CBT is to teach you strategies so that you can move forward in your life. CBT is effective with adults and children. We all have the ability to change things in our lives, we just need to take the first steps.I am Registered with the College of Psychotherapists. I have a Masters Degree in Psychology, Certified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and am a Clinical Traumatologist.Experienced working with both children and adults. Specializing in Trauma Care and Trauma Recovery.
