To help you, I take an integrative approach that allows for a client-centred approach, primarily using Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy tools. As evidence suggests, Mindfulness helps us deal with everyday stresses and avoid being overwhelmed by distressing events, thoughts, and physical sensations.
CBT offers numerous techniques that allow us to modify our thoughts, reactions, and habits. I believe that when successful, therapy heals, strengthens, and enhances a person’s relationship with themselves, their past, and their environment. These changes can involve adopting practical coping skills, increasing awareness of how we treat ourselves, and improving the management of our environment. Together, I aim to create a space that fosters self-discovery, self-expression, and self-compassion.
I work primarily with individuals aged 12 and up dealing with issues such as Depression, Anxiety, self-esteem, lack of meaning and motivation, adjustment difficulties, addictive behaviours, grief and loss, chronic conditions, and trauma.
