How Is Low Cost Counselling Different?
Counselling should be accessible to everyone who needs it, regardless of financial limitations. We are proud to provide an affordable option with rates that are half the standard pricing. Individual sessions start at just $50.
Our counselling interns are more than students – we view them as our future colleagues. That’s why we have developed an immersive in-house training program focused on accelerating their real-world abilities and knowledge.
Each intern gets tailored feedback for sessions, supervised client interactions, and one-on-one guidance from our supervising therapist, who holds a doctorate in counselling psychology. We are invested in nurturing empathetic counsellors who can address the unique needs and challenges during counselling.
Simply put, with our affordable counselling services, you still receive high-calibre, personalized care from extensively trained emerging professionals.
Intern Counsellors
Our intern counsellors are selected based on their academic achievements, empathy, compassion, and respect for clients. They are rigorously vetted to ensure they have the necessary attributes for delivering effective counselling services. Generally, our interns remain with us for approximately a year, acquiring invaluable experience and refining their counselling skills.
Insurance Coverage
Can I claim low-cost counselling sessions on my benefits? Unfortunately, low-cost counselling sessions cannot be claimed on extended health benefits, as the benefits providers require a licensed professional to provide the services to be reimbursed.

Your questions about interns answered
It's a valid concern many people have before scheduling an appointment with a student practitioner. Rest assured, all our student practitioners receive continuous, comprehensive supervision and guidance from our experienced supervision team at our clinic. Additionally, we are selective in our practicum admissions, often choosing mature, well-grounded students who bring a wealth of relevant life and professional experiences.
An intern has already earned their Master's degree and is acquiring the required clinical hours for registration with a professional association or regulatory body. On the other hand, a practicum student has fulfilled all academic prerequisites for their Master's degree and is now exclusively concentrating on obtaining hands-on counselling experience. Both are provided thorough training, supervision, and consultation during their tenure at our clinic.
No matter what you are struggling with, we are here for you.
