We all go through challenging times in life, and therapy can provide an outlet to help us work through these challenges. Ashleigh believes in empowering her clients to utilize their unique tools to help them re-establish life goals and a path that brings joy to their life. She meets her clients where they are and helps them work through their challenges.
Her calm and empathetic nature helps create a safe and inviting space for sharing. She holds a space where clients can tell their stories and be heard. She works collaboratively with clients to reach their therapeutic goals in her practice. To help clients work through their challenges, she uses techniques from Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness and evidence-based intervention strategies from other modalities.
Ashleigh holds a Master of Education in School Counselling and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors. She also completed a Bachelor of Human Kinetics with a minor in French and a Bachelor of Education at UBC. Her work in the education system as both a counsellor and teacher and her background in athletics have helped her build a unique skill set to bring to each session.
