Are You Suffering Physical and Emotional Injuries from a Car Accident? ICBC Will Cover Your Sessions For Free

You aren’t alone. Every year, thousands of British Columbians suffer from car accident-related trauma.

Being in a car accident can be extremely stressful.

Your whole life can change in a split second.

In addition to suffering from physical injuries, there can also be psychological consequences.

For some people, these difficulties may be short-lived while others may develop Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). In these cases, symptoms may continue to get worse over time.

What Is ICBC’s No Fault Model and What Are ICBC Enhanced Accident Benefits?

The Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) now operates under a “no-fault” insurance model. This system, established by the B.C. provincial legislature through Bill 11 in 2020, and launched as Enhanced Care by ICBC and the Government of B.C. on May 1, 2021, offers financial support and recovery benefits to anyone injured in a car accident, irrespective of fault. This new model aims to provide more efficient and comprehensive care for all involved in vehicle incidents.

ICBC Enhanced Accident Benefits

In British Columbia, drivers and non-drivers, such as cyclists and pedestrians, are entitled to care and recovery benefits in the event of a vehicle-related accident. This coverage is automatically available to all B.C. residents.

Should they suffer injuries, non-drivers can access the same extensive benefits as motorists, including income replacement and additional support for severe or life-changing injuries.
