Romina Monastero, RP (Qualifying)
"I am here to guide you toward your goals and will be patient, attentive, and understanding throughout your therapeutic journey."
Amid joy and excitement, life is often filled with unexpected challenges. My goal is to help you navigate such challenges through a nonjudgmental and culturally sensitive approach. I believe that clients must be empathized with rather than pathologized. I will be there to listen and support you, regardless of what your unique story entails.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I hold a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto and a master’s degree in counselling psychology from Yorkville University. I am interested in helping clients navigate anxiety, relationship challenges, depression, and low self-esteem, and I am comfortable working with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). I typically take a person-centred and cognitive-behavioural approach and enjoy implementing mindfulness during sessions. However, I recognize the importance of exploring other therapeutic modalities to suit the individual needs of each client.
I hope to build a strong therapeutic alliance with you and strive to create a warm and comfortable environment where you feel both at ease and home. This, essentially, is the foundation for progress and success. I am here to guide you toward your goals and will be patient, attentive, and understanding throughout your therapeutic journey.
