It is common for new mothers to experience a post-birth period commonly referred to as the baby blues.

You may have postpartum depression if you have had a baby within the last 12 months and are experiencing some of these symptoms:

  • You feel overwhelmed
  • You feel guilty
  • You don’t feel bonded to your baby
  • You can’t understand why this is happening
  • You feel irritated or angry
  • You feel numb, sad, or hopelessness
  • You feel disconnected
  • You can’t concentrate
  • You can’t sleep

If your symptoms continue it is likely that you are experiencing postpartum depression or another postpartum mood disorder.

If you feel that you may be experiencing pregnancy or postpartum mood disorder, or worry that you may be at risk of developing it, we invite you to us a call.
