FAQ's About Therapy in Vancouver

Fees to see a Registered Clinical Counsellor are $140-$160+GST for an individual counselling 50 minute session and between $200-$300 for a 50-75 minute couple or family sessions. Session fees are set in accordance with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors’ current fee schedule.

Many benefit programs cover the fee of Registered Clinical Counsellors (BC) or registered psychotherapists (RPs) — check with your benefits provider to see if this is available to you. The therapist's license number and credentials will be on your Well Beings Counselling receipt.

No referral is needed in most cases. If you are eligible for coverage through ICBC, a doctor’s note for counselling may be required.
